Barbie Magic of the Pegasus by Carrie James

This book has illustrations and detailed pictures in it. I like the colors the illustrator picked, like purple. It's about a king and queen who have two daughters. A bad guy turns the older sister into a pony, but she gets turned back again. Mostly people who like fairy tales should read this book.

The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo

This book is about a mouse who doesn’t fit in quite right because he has big ears, he likes to read books instead of eat them, and he doesn’t like to annoy the humans. He even eventually falls in love with one of them! I like the part at the beginning when Despereaux was born, the smallest and only child. I like this book because it has a lot of comedy. This book is for anybody who likes fantasy and mice.

In this book, everyone’s last name is Stupid and they act really stupid. My favorite part is when they put on masks and look really ugly. They did this because Grandpa went to the hospital and he’s really ugly and they want to be like him. Air Stupid is the name of their airplane. This book would be good for 1st graders and up because it's a very easy book.

I read this book a week ago. It's about Junie B., who is getting ready to have a little brother. She doesn’t feel happy about that. I can relate to this book because I have a little brother, too. Her grandmother says her brother is going to be a monkey. This book would be good for people who like to be funny.

Ocean Animals by Margie Burton, Cathy French and Tammy Jones

I like this book because it tells you about a lot of animals in the sea. It says what’s underwater and all the way under the sea and what’s on the top, what stays underwater always and doesn’t come up, like octopus, fish and sharks. One of my favorite pages tells how some animals jump out of the ocean like dolphins. This book is good for 1st or 2nd graders because it would be easier for them.

Day of the Dragon King by Mary Pope Osborne (Magic Tree House #14)

I first read this book when I was 5 or 6, and I'm 7 now. I really like how the illustrator includes cool pictures, especially the cover. The story is that a magic tree house mysteriously appeared, filled with books which take them to the places. They just point to the picture and wish to go there. They discover it belongs to Morgan Le Fay, a magical librarian from the time of King Arthur. In this book, Jack and Annie go to Ancient China. Students in first grade and up should read this book.

Marvel Encyclopedia : Spider Man

I chose this book because I like Spider Man. The book has pictures of Spider-Man in different costumes, with comics in the back. My favorite part is the story of Spider-Man 3. It has some different characters, weird gadgets and enemies of Spider-Man, such as:
- Jackal - bad guy.
- Morbius, vampire dude.
- William Turner, hobo.
- Venom, bad guy, jealous of Spider-Man (in SM 3).
- Shathra, 6’2” lady, wears a mask.
- Scorpion, ugly with his suit on.
- Sandman bad guy but wants to be a good guy.
Anybody who likes Spider-Man should read this book.

Warriors: Into the Wild by Erin Hunter

I read this book in January or February of 2008. This book is about cats. There are four clans of cats in the wild and they start fighting. The author used really good description, which makes it exciting and interesting. Because it has war in it, I would say this book is appropriate for fourth and fifth grade. The prologue is descriptive and mysterious.
